A grown-up to help you with the tricky stuff

Lay one piece of fleece on top of the other.

With the edges lined up, trim off any ends as necessary to make them the same.

Using your ruler or straight-edge to guide your scissors, cut out a square about 3-4 inches from each corner. This will prevent bunching of the material in the corners and help to make tying easier.

Cut slits, to make a fringe, about 3 inches deep and 1 inch apart all the way around the fabric on both layers. Make sure you make your cuts deep enough so that the fringe is long enough to be tied together.

Tie the matching top and bottom slits together into double knots, tying them right over left and under, and then left over right and under. This helps them stay together when you wash the blanket.

Continue tying all the way around the fabric until your blanket is complete.
